It's neat that the starters are from Emerald, though when I first saw this, I thought they'd be the starters from XD Gale of Darkness, as they have Frenzy Plant/Blast Burn/Hydro Cannon. But regardless you've put in so much work into this and it's amazing you've been able to implement custom maps and sprites! Can't wait for more to come, esp the legendary birbs~! :)

ever since i watched absol's video about modifying pokemon box on gamecube im wondering if its possible to homebrew some kind of deluxe version that has the ability to send old events to gba. im talking pokecenter distributions, regi dolls, maybe even a move tutor that gives you the ability to teach your pokemon moves that were only obtainable from colo/xd. and of course, allowing for easy bp acquisition a la pokemon bank. ive got more ideas than just that, but im not writing out a whole presentation on my dream pokemon utilities in a youtube comment lol. maybe i should see if anyone on project pokemon shares my vision

So just some spit balling here, the pokémons PIDs are unique, and Im assuming theyre generated by the ROM itself, so if I use a shiny lock removal cheat, can I shiny hunt with dream radar?

tbf you can get kubfu in indigo disk (not sure if you could when this video came out though😓) and evolve it into either urshifu which does mean buying the dlc BUT youre saving around $60

honestly 17 hours for a team you can keep and reuse isnt that bad but the cost is stupid expensive

I don’t know understand why catching them is necessary for competition. Like players should think of their Pokémon and strategy and the organization that’s doing the tournament or whatever just gives them that. Or they just make it and submit it. Like imagine in League of Legends a pro player not having a hero because they haven’t unlocked it 🧐 riot gives them accounts with everything unlocked. Even skins.

Not adding in a way to control IVs in modern games but heavily moderating genned pokemon is kinda batshit crazy. Not only do you need to be an extremely competent pokemon battler to compete but you also need the extensive time and money required to compete, on top of the potential requirements of a DS with bank, and a serious amount of esoteric pokemon knowledge. Nintendo is absolute negligent and stupid when it comes to their competetive scenes.... When I think about this more a battle simulator such as pokemon showdown has also been required to test out teams before comitting. You can't just theory craft a team then commit to creating the pokemon in game, you need to test it against live matchups to see if you're forgetting about a fringe case that hard wall your team. Not even as a joke I think Nintendo actively hates its fans....

Related to the discussion on assembly, what would you say the best resource for learning that coding language is?

If you can add custom sprites to the game would you be able to add one for a shadow Lugia? (Obviously it would be more work since you can’t cut and paste!), or would, due to the way the game saves this data, you not be able to keep a Shadow Lugia permanently even if there was an event added?

Ohhh I knew there'd be some extremely cool things that came out of poking around with the e-reader!! Thank you for all the work you've put in to these events! I don't think the moon rumor really took off in my sphere when RSE were big, but I think I may have heard of it at some point regardless. Seeing it realized into its own event really is something, I bet it's what a bunch of people would have imagined. I'm really excited to see what else you have up your sleeve for us!
